about

I wrote this chant to Radha and Krishna in late August of 2010, and we first chanted it at our Krishna Janmashtami program in early September of that year. It has one of the most yearning feels of all the chants I've written, and perhaps the most. The first lyrics are simply 4 "Radhas" and the second 4 "Krishnas," and the same chord pattern consisting of 3 simple chords continuously cycles through the chant. In my experience it is very mesmerizing, especially the slower part, and evolves into a more celebratory feel when the tempo gets going.
